**About North**
North is Cohere’s state-of-the-art AI workspace platform, designed to transform enterprise AI utilization. It provides a secure and customizable environment, enabling companies to deploy AI while maintaining control over sensitive data. North seamlessly integrates with existing workflows, offering a trusted platform that connects AI agents with workplace tools and applications.
**Role Description**
This role presents a unique opportunity to influence how enterprises leverage AI in practical applications. Serving as a liaison between the North product team and client engineering teams, the successful candidate will address complex challenges and integrate AI securely into critical sectors, including finance, healthcare, and telecommunications. Our clientele includes industry leaders such as RBC, Dell, and LG CNS.
We are seeking engineers with expertise in backend systems, infrastructure, agent development, and deployment, who are customer-focused and eager to contribute to the advancement of Agentic AI.
**Responsibilities**
* Develop and deploy features for North, our AI workspace platform.
* Develop autonomous agents that interact with sensitive enterprise data.
* Conduct rapid and high-quality experimentation to engage customers and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
* Manage the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to production.
* Lead end-to-end deployment of North in private cloud and on-premises environments, including planning, configuration, testing, and rollout.
**Qualifications**
* Experience working directly with customers.
* Proven experience in deploying Python in production environments.
* Experience building and deploying high-performance client-side or server-side RAG/agentic applications.
* Strong coding skills and the ability to work across the technology stack, including understanding and resolving issues outside of the primary codebase.
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and adapt to evolving priorities and objectives.
