Fleet Manager

Fleet Operations Management:

• Oversee the scheduling and routing of vehicles to ensure timely deliveries or services.
• Monitor vehicle utilization to maintain efficiency and meet operational needs.
• Manage fuel consumption and implement cost-saving strategies.

Maintenance and Repairs:

• Develop and oversee a preventive maintenance schedule for all vehicles.
• Coordinate and supervise vehicle repairs and ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all vehicles meet regulatory requirements and inspections (e.g., licenses, insurance, emissions testing).
• Implement and enforce safety protocols for vehicle operations.
• Investigate and resolve any vehicle-related accidents or incidents.

Cost Management:

• Prepare and manage the fleet budget, including maintenance, fuel, insurance, and other expenses.
• Analyze operational costs and identify areas for improvement.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors for fuel, repairs, and leasing services.

Data and Reporting:

• Use fleet management software to track vehicle performance, expenses, and other metrics.
• Generate regular reports on fleet status, utilization, and costs for management review.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and train drivers, mechanics, and other fleet personnel.
• Conduct performance evaluations and ensure staff compliance with company policies.
• Foster a culture of safety and efficiency within the team.

Procurement and Disposal:

• Manage the acquisition and disposal of fleet vehicles in line with company needs.
• Evaluate vehicle performance and recommend replacements or upgrades.
