- This is a full-time on-site role as a Fire and Life Safety Engineer located in Riyadh. As a Fire and Life Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to fire prevention, safety inspections, risk assessments, and emergency response preparedness. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement fire safety measures, develop and implement safety procedures, and provide training to employees. Your expertise will ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and enhance the safety and well-being of our staff and facilities.
Job Core Responsibilities:
* Work closely with MMI, Civil Defense, General Security, PMCMs , contractors, etc. to develop Fire and Life Safety criteria and strategies for the HSE Transformation Program.
* Support MMI in reviewing the design of the systems proposed by the Contractors to ensure they are compliant with the applicable standards.
* Support MMI in developing security plans for the projects, and Preliminary Emergency Preparedness Plans (EPP’s), Emergency Preparation Procedures (EOP’s), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Engineering, or a related field
Strong knowledge of local fire safety codes and regulations
Experience in conducting fire risk assessments and developing safety plans
Proficiency in fire prevention and suppression systems
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex fire safety data
Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Certifications in fire safety and emergency response (e.g., Certified Fire Protection Specialist) are preferred
Experience in conducting fire safety training sessions is a plus
CFPS Certification/NFPA relevant Certification
