Job Description:**Financial Sales & Marketing Controller**
**Nestlé Waters KSA – Almanhal Water Factory (Position based in Almanhal Water Factory – Riyadh Industrial Area)**
**Position Summary:**
The Financial Sales & Marketing Controller serves as a key financial business partner to the Generating Demand (Sales & Marketing) function. The role entails providing comprehensive financial and economic analyses to ensure the optimal allocation of Commercial & Marketing resources, thereby facilitating sustainable growth. This position is also responsible for ensuring that all Sales & Marketing operations adhere to financial and legal requirements, as well as Nestlé Accounting practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Participate in the formulation of customer and channel strategies, ensuring their effective execution across all commercial elements, including modern trade, traditional channels, and eCommerce.
* Lead the forecasting process for Net Sales (NNS), Trade Terms Spending (TTS), and Customer Contribution, aligning with monthly business planning and Dynamic Forecasting methodologies, while ensuring target achievement.
* Identify potential risks and opportunities, propose corrective actions to address gaps, and challenge assumptions to uncover new avenues for growth.
* Actively contribute to improvement projects and initiatives, validating and reviewing proposed cost savings.
* Prepare ad-hoc analyses and simulations to support business unit inquiries.
* Optimize trade and Promotion, Merchandising, and Field Execution (PFME) spend investments by implementing efficient and effective pre- and post-evaluation processes, maintaining a learning log of key insights.
* Ensure procedures are in place to evaluate performance against customer agreements and leverage Customer Contribution Statements as a management tool.
* Prepare, analyze, and communicate monthly sales and PFME performance reports, comparing results against the budget and identifying gaps to be addressed through corrective actions in the Dynamic Forecasting process.
* Monitor the evolution of Sales Force MOGEs (presumably metrics) and advise the sales organization on annual resource planning and variance tracking.
* Support the marketing team in budget monitoring, aligning with Nestlé/Globe best practices.
* Conduct monthly follow-up of budgeted versus actual spending and coordinate closing activities (GR/Accruals) in a compliant manner.
* Serve as the custodian of internal controls, ensuring trade spend practices comply with internal and external guidelines.
* Ensure the correct allocation of costs in compliance with NAS (Nestlé Accounting Standards) and CSW standards. Drive improvements in the allocation process to enhance accuracy and forecasting.
* Act as a liaison between the Sales Team and the Finance Community, fostering transparency, alignment, and proactive collaboration.
* Challenge the sales team to optimize the Return on Investment (ROI) of trade assets by focusing investments on customers with higher ROIs and developing plans to recover underutilized assets.
* Partner with the Customer Finance organization to facilitate discussions on the order-to-cash payment cycle and provide financial guidance in customer negotiations.
* Enhance the business acumen of the Customer Sales Team through training and ongoing Finance and Sales analysis.
**Key Experiences:**
* Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.
* Prior experience in controlling, preferably within sales.
* Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, with exposure to Sales and Marketing preferred.
* Proficiency in English and the local language of the market (where applicable).
* Experience working in a network organization with cross-functional stakeholders.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
