**Job Purpose:**
The Field Service Technician is responsible and accountable for maintaining a safe work environment for themselves and others. The successful candidate will prioritize safety, quality of workmanship, and efficiency in all tasks. Responsibilities include successful completion of safety training, active participation in safety initiatives, achieving target utilization of 17 days per month, and contributing to the Failure, Non-Conformance, and Corrective Action Request (FNCR) process. The technician will supervise wellhead and Xmas Tree installations, maintenance, and repair operations at wellsite locations, both onshore and offshore, as directed by the company. Additional duties include pre-job preparation of wellhead equipment and trees, testing and servicing of wellheads and valves, attendance at customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), conducting well surveys to assess condition and record information, and inspecting and assessing wellhead installation tools.
The Field Service Technician will perform mechanical services on wellheads and Xmas Trees, including bolt torquing, casing cutting, seized wellhead bolt cutting, onsite machining, and seized lock-down screw tip removal. The candidate must be prepared to travel both domestically and internationally as required, and to work unsupervised. Continuous self-development to acquire comprehensive knowledge of all products and services is expected. The technician will perform any other reasonable duties as instructed by superiors.
**Job Description:**
The primary responsibility of this role is wellhead service-oriented, encompassing the installation, testing, and repair of new and reworked TechnipFMC products (equipment and tools). The Field Service Technician will address customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, and provide sales support by ensuring the customer is fully informed of all aspects of the job. Responsibilities also include the completion of Field Service Orders (FSO) and job reports, and ensuring the timely submission of these and other revenue-generating documents. The technician will communicate all quality issues and documentation (equipment and procedural defects) to Service Management and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any identified Non-conformances (eFNCR). Furthermore, the technician will complete field documentation following each service job, provide “Project Support” as required, handle project issues to minimize downtime, and prepare and complete safety-related documentation, adhering to safe work practices. The technician may serve as the on-site supervisor to the field service crew and report back to Service Management. Additionally, they will assist in the development of procedural requirements for current and future jobs.
The Field Service Technician will report to the country Services Coordinator.
**Qualifications:**
Candidates should possess recognized Mechanical Engineering qualifications or a Diploma. Adaptability, commitment, technical proficiency, customer focus, and a hands-on approach are essential. The nature of the position necessitates strong interpersonal skills, mobility, effective verbal and written communication skills in English, and a valid driving license.
**Ideal Candidate Profile:**
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a field service technician role focused on wellhead installation and supervision.
* Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following fields: electrical systems, subsea equipment, hydraulic equipment, mechanical equipment and tools, and structural steel.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Proficiency with UWD-15 Standard wellhead systems.
* Experience in Field Service operations.
