**Role Overview:**

This position provides critical customer support through on-site service delivery, encompassing the diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of complex equipment and systems. The role includes verification and validation of system equipment operational quality, as well as providing instruction to clients on system operation and maintenance. The incumbent serves as the company’s representative for administrative and technical matters related to assigned projects, interpreting client needs and determining whether problem resolution is the responsibility of sales personnel, customer support representatives, or engineering staff. This position may encompass all aspects of field support, including but not limited to system hardware, software, personal computers, and networking/wireless networking. The primary focus of this role is to deliver field service engineering support for Cargo and Vehicle Inspection (CVI) equipment, specifically systems currently deployed. [M60, P60, ZBV].

**Responsibilities:**

* Conducting necessary repairs and maintenance as essential elements of cargo systems (CVI).
* Serving as the primary local point of contact (POC) for technical issues pertaining to regional systems.
* Performing general maintenance, fitting, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis on CVI systems and subsystems.
* Supporting Mercedes vehicle service needs, including oil and lubricant changes, filter replacements, and other routine maintenance tasks.
* Organizing scheduled maintenance and repairs of cargo systems [M60 & P60].
* Providing oral and written responses to requests for third-line technical support from operational sites to on-site engineers or customer representatives.
* Delivering defect liability or post-acceptance support for CVI equipment.
* Completing comprehensive technical documentation, including service reports, engineering change requests, and data input into a functional database.
* Maintaining all issued equipment, including vehicles, spares, consumables, tools, and/or test equipment, in a suitable and safe condition.
* Interacting respectfully with customers, operators, and associated personnel, demonstrating sensitivity to cultural and linguistic differences.
* Adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines while performing duties.

**Qualifications:**

* Demonstrated experience supporting complex technical products comprising engines, drives, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), transmitters and receivers, electrical systems, information technology components, and electrical generators.
* Prior experience with Mercedes-Benz trucks is an advantage.
* A proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to complete tasks effectively, even with limited resources.
* Ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying technical information clearly.
* Possession of a BTEC, C&G, HNC, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
* Comprehensive knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
* Proficiency in IT networking solutions, equivalent to CCNP certification or higher.
* Familiarity with integrated IT systems, including PLCs, high-voltage systems, and/or radar technology.
