Job Description:BecTech is seeking two qualified Field Engineers with experience in Block 1B2 CIWS to conduct gun mount maintenance and support for the Royal Saudi Navy. The primary responsibilities include assisting the Ship Repair Force (SRF) in the maintenance of the CIWS, adhering to Planned Maintenance System Maintenance Index Page (MIP) 7112/1B2 and CIWS technical manuals, specifically TW-221-B2-MMO-010 (IETM).
Specific tasks encompass: removal, cleaning, inspection, and re-installation of Ammunition Handling System components (MIP 7112/MRC Q-12); removal, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, lubrication, re-assembly, and re-installation of the gun (MIP 7II2/MRC S-2R); troubleshooting and repair of CASREPTS; comprehensive CIWS system testing to achieve operational readiness; performance of CIWS System Technical Assessments (PMS AP-1); performance of System Operability Tests (SOTS), Periodic System Operability Tests (PSOTS), and Fault Isolation Tests (FITS); transmitter output testing; Klystron tuning; cleaning and lubrication of the Gun Ammunition Handling System (GAHS) using dummy ammunition; inspection of shock isolators, door gaskets, seals, and weatherproofing; inspection of the Environmental Control Group (ECG); and testing of safety devices. The role also includes troubleshooting and repairs necessary to complete the aforementioned tasks.
This position requires travel to Saudi Arabia a minimum of twice annually for durations of 24 days each. Travel, lodging, and per diem will be provided in accordance with the applicable Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case. Candidates must possess technical expertise in Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) procedures and requirements. Prior experience with FMS and OEM support is preferred.
**Required Qualifications:**
* U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
* Minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience
* Shipboard experience in the operation, maintenance, testing, and system installation of Block 1B2 CIWS
**Desired Qualifications:**
* OEM Technical Certification
* Prior experience with FMS support
The position necessitates travel to Saudi Arabia a minimum of two times per year, with a potential increase to quarterly travel over a three-year period. All selected applicants will be subject to a comprehensive background investigation.
**Compensation:** $55 – $75 per hour.
