Job Summary: Based at Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, the Food and Beverage Supervisor will oversee and actively participate in the operational aspects of a designated shift within our breakfast restaurant. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service, managing and developing the team, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The F&B Supervisor reports to the Assistant Manager. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily operations of the outlet, ensuring smooth service flow, upholding quality standards, monitoring food quality, and maintaining guest satisfaction, while adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Conduct regular inspections to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment. Possess a comprehensive understanding of the outlet’s concept and offerings to effectively communicate with both guests and colleagues. Proactively respond to guest inquiries, monitor VIP guest requirements, and effectively handle customer complaints, escalating critical issues to management as necessary. Support the Restaurant/Outlet Manager in maintaining POS accuracy, identifying opportunities for service and quality improvements, and ensuring proper menu presentation. Train colleagues, identify individual learning and development needs, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and proactively addressing conflicts. Engage with guests in a warm and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and creating memorable “WOW” moments. Participate in regular meetings to discuss operational updates and identify areas for improvement. Qualifications and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required; Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management preferred. Proven experience as a supervisor in a high-volume restaurant with exceptional service standards. Minimum of two years’ experience working in a 5-star luxury hotel environment. Demonstrated ability to understand guest needs and deliver superior customer service. Proven ability to support management in motivating and leading a diverse team. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office. Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in accordance with business requirements.
