The ETO Process Engineer is accountable for the thorough review, comprehension, and adherence to customer inquiries and technical specifications. This individual bears comprehensive responsibility for the design of oil and gas field equipment or technologies and oversees project execution. Key responsibilities encompass the evaluation of customer inquiries and specifications to ascertain the optimal process or equipment design for the application, the design of equipment or technologies conforming to required specifications to facilitate maximized customer production, and the submission of technical proposals delineating the scope of supply, equipment/technology performance, warranty provisions, and delivery schedule. The engineer is further responsible for presenting proposals in a manner conducive to securing orders and positively impacting the business position. Contributions extend to providing input on research initiatives, as well as software and workflow development projects. The role also includes the development of deliverables for cost estimation, design engineering, and drafting, alongside leading the development and creation of all project process deliverables. Ensuring compliance with customer purchase orders in relation to proposal technical and process requirements is paramount. This necessitates performing complex process simulations utilizing designated software, conducting equipment process design and sizing, and performing final review of Project Job Manuals. Peer reviews of team design work, encompassing proposals, cost estimates, deliverables, and fabrication drawings, are also required. Furthermore, the engineer provides process technical support for troubleshooting, performs on-site start-up and/or troubleshooting, and supports and interfaces with clients concerning their field development planning, offering multi-discipline services. Continuous maintenance and development of personal competency through training and relevant experience are essential, as is providing technical leadership and support on systems tenders. A bachelor’s degree coupled with relevant experience in similar roles is required.
