Job Description :

Job Purpose  To provide coordination services to expedite patient care in ED Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities Manages patient flow with ED physicians and nurseing and Identifies causes of delays performs coordination activates for smooth operation and efficiency of the patient care unit in ER Makes rounds on patients to ensure that care is being delivered according to plan. Contacts support departments to accelerate delivering services to patients. Responsible for interviewing patients and their relatives in a courteous manner, providing guidance and assistance as appropriate to promote a patient-centered care culture. Manage transfer out from ED for life threat and coordinate with other facilities. Follow up admission orders with admission office to ensure smooth and fast transfer from ER unites to internal words. Assists with emergency situations, e.g. overflow, and evacuation.  Provides monthly statistics of the processes done to the department manager. Performs other assignments and duties as requested by the department, and per need. Ensures that regulations relating to patient confidentiality are strictly adhered to. Participates in ongoing training programs, and establishes a working knowledge of medical terminology and specialties. Participates in and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities as an individual or as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Rotational Program requires staff to be assigned to any section in the Patient Services Department. Perform other job related duties as assigned by the supervisor in Ambulatory Services. Performs timekeeping adheres to organizational standard for dress and professional appearance.
