Job Description:Canonical is seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in recruiting and leading high-performing software engineering teams.
* Proficiency in Go and Python software development.
* Capability to design and implement complex, distributed systems.
* Experience with containerization technologies and Kubernetes.
* Comprehensive understanding of software and infrastructure security and performance.
* Experience in designing and/or operating large-scale distributed systems.
Knowledge of identity and access management technologies and standards is desirable. Applicants should possess an exceptional academic record from both secondary and higher education, as well as an undergraduate degree in a technical field or a compelling rationale for an alternative educational path. Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, coupled with excellent presentation skills, is essential. Candidates should also exhibit strong interpersonal abilities, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to accountability. The ability to travel internationally twice annually for company events, for durations of up to two weeks, is required.
