**Job Purpose:** To commission and conduct comprehensive testing of power plant systems prior to operational commencement.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* **Documentation and Reporting:** Prepare detailed test reports for projects and new equipment, incorporating updates and corrections. Maintain meticulous records of non-conformances and troubleshooting processes.
* **Testing and Functional Activities:** Execute functional testing protocols according to specified schemes. Coordinate and support testing activities during customer inspections. Resolve technical challenges encountered during power plant testing and site commissioning. Oversee site testing and commissioning operations. Conduct testing and commissioning activities related to substations and power plants, including substation equipment such as relays, switchgear, and transformers. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations during testing and commissioning procedures.
* **Technical Support and Design Review:** Provide technical expertise through the review of design documents prior to their release.
* **Quality and Process Improvement:** Initiate continuous improvement initiatives and maintain comprehensive records in consultation with the department manager. Implement corrective and preventive actions, maintaining relevant documentation in collaboration with the department manager.

**Role Accountabilities:**

* **HR Proficiency:** Train subordinates and cultivate a high-performing team. Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to subordinates in all aspects of their work. Delegate assignments effectively. Ensure equitable task distribution to maintain morale and motivation among subordinates.
* **Delivery:** Execute planned activities to achieve operational and development targets within specified delivery schedules. Optimize resource utilization to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time constraints. Provide periodic progress reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.
* **Problem-Solving:** Resolve emergent issues and escalate complex operational concerns as necessary.
* **Business Process Improvements:** Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, actively seeking opportunities for automation.
* **Compliance:** Adhere rigorously to all relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.

**Qualifications:**

* **Academic Qualification:** Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* **Work Experience:** Fresher – 0-2 years of experience.
* **Technical / Functional Competencies:** Proficiency in testing methodologies, testing tools, quality assurance, and safety practices.
