**Job Summary:**

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the oversight and comprehensive management of mechanical engineering projects within the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) contracting sector.

**Job Responsibilities:**

* Direct the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for MEP projects.
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
* Conduct on-site inspections to verify project compliance with specifications and to resolve technical challenges.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver superior engineering solutions.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
* Maintain current knowledge of industry standards and best practices pertaining to mechanical engineering within the MEP sector.

**Candidate Requirements:**

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline is required.
* A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in managing MEP projects, preferably within the contracting sector, is essential.
* Demonstrated expertise in the design and implementation of mechanical systems.
* Exceptional project management and communication capabilities.
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and to lead technical projects.

**Skills:**

* Comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
* Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for design and drafting purposes.
* Experience in the creation and interpretation of technical drawings and blueprints.
* Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards.
* Ability to analyze and resolve complex mechanical systems issues.
* Proficient project management skills for managing multiple tasks and adhering to deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with cross-functional teams and presentation of findings.
* Strong problem-solving aptitude for identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
* In-depth knowledge of relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
