Job Description:**Job Responsibilities:**

This position serves as the designated Technical Authority for the maintenance and operation of all lifting equipment. Responsibilities include providing technical support to various divisions on operational matters and the procurement of new cranes. The incumbent will coordinate with and support the OSD/site team in the preparation of planned Lifting Operation Procedures (LOP) prior to execution of lifting activities on site.

This position plans, coordinates, and supervises maintenance, repairs, and major overhauls performed on all cranes and lifting equipment, encompassing Pedestal Cranes, Overhead Cranes, Lifeboat Life Raft Davits, and Screen Winches. Management and coordination of the Crane Management Contract are also key functions, including the preparation of scopes of work, cost estimates, technical bid evaluations, and service execution oversight.

The role necessitates monitoring of pedestal and overhead crane operation and maintenance data, including laboratory analysis and condition monitoring trends. Recommendations are prepared and implemented in the maintenance strategy to enhance performance.

The incumbent examines and inspects cranes, providing advice on corrective actions, conducting maintenance audits on lifting equipment, and reviewing/updating crane and lifting equipment maintenance programs as needed. Inspections and audits are conducted on all contractors (barge cranes, topside maintenance cranes, and lifting equipment) prior to equipment mobilization.

Feasibility studies are performed in areas such as evaluation of new safety procedures, hydraulic system upgrades, and component replacement procedures. The position requires liaison with crane manufacturers for technical queries and advice, as well as providing guidance on spare parts inquiries from the purchasing department/suppliers.

Maintenance and updating of lifting equipment records, along with the creation of comprehensive status reports, are essential. Technical evaluations of new cranes and lifting equipment are conducted to ensure compliance with all operational and technical requirements.

The role includes reviewing and updating spare parts holdings to maintain appropriate levels based on actual operational needs. Scopes of Work are prepared for contracts and tenders related to major maintenance overhauls, inspections, and repairs of Pedestal Cranes. Follow-up and coordination of the implementation of overhauls, inspections, and repairs contracts related to cranes, both on-site and at contractor workshops, are required.

**Supervisory Responsibilities:**

This position entails planning, supervising, and coordinating activities within the assigned area to achieve functional objectives, as well as training and developing assigned staff to enhance their job proficiency and contribute to section objectives.

**Budgetary Responsibilities:**

The incumbent provides input for the preparation of section/department budgets and assists in the implementation of approved budgets and work plans to meet section objectives. The role also involves investigating and highlighting significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Implementation of approved section/department policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures is essential to support the execution of work programs in accordance with Company and international standards.

**Performance Management:**

Contribution to the achievement of approved performance objectives for the section/department, aligned with the Company Performance framework, is required.

**Innovation and Continuous Improvement:**

This position designs and implements new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. Improvements in internal processes are identified against best practices, in line with ISO standards, to develop intelligent solutions for functional challenges.

**Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability:**

Compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines is mandatory, adhering to international standards, best practices, and the ADNOC Code of Practices.

**Reporting:**

The incumbent provides inputs to prepare section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

**Communications & Working Relationships:**

* **Internal:** Regular communication with site maintenance personnel and other team leaders and managers in Abu Dhabi for operational requirements. Regular contact with personnel in the Commercial Department for purchase coordination and with vendors/sub-contractors for technical advice and assistance. Regular contact with the Integrity Team to ensure equipment inspections and certification are performed and in place as required. Operates within established Company policies, procedures, approved work programs, and professional engineering standards.
* **External:** Weekly correspondence with the Crane Operation and Maintenance Contractor. Regular correspondence with Project Management Teams and/or NPCC.
