**Role Summary**
The Engagement Manager at EGI is responsible for cultivating strategic client relationships and proactively identifying new business development opportunities. This pivotal role necessitates a persuasive and engaging professional capable of navigating high-stakes environments and effectively communicating the organization’s expertise and value proposition to C-suite executives. Furthermore, the Engagement Manager will be tasked with motivating consultants and subject matter experts to actively participate in client engagements and the development of innovative solutions.
**Key Responsibilities**
* **Strategic Engagement and Thought Leadership:** Develop and maintain enduring relationships with senior executives, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the power sector and client-specific challenges. Employ strategic thinking to align client needs with EGI’s capabilities, articulating compelling business cases. Engage clients at a strategic level to identify and cultivate business opportunities, reinforcing EGI’s position as a trusted advisor. Encourage internal experts to engage dynamically with clients, fostering a culture of active participation and innovative problem-solving.
* **Opportunity Identification and Business Development:** Lead the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities through rigorous market analysis and an understanding of regulatory and economic environments. Develop and implement business plans aligned with internal strategies and client expectations, securing approval from senior management.
* **Contract Negotiation and Impactful Deal Closure:** Manage negotiations, leveraging a proven track record of successful contract execution that contributes significantly to EGI’s growth and client satisfaction. Oversee the end-to-end deal lifecycle, from initial engagement to closure, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
* **Partnership and Team Collaboration:** Initiate and manage high-value partnerships, collaborating closely with partners to enhance project delivery. Function as a key team member, facilitating cross-functional collaboration to ensure the seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
**Candidate Profile**
A Master’s degree and a minimum of ten years of experience in a similar leadership role within the energy sector or a management consulting environment are required. Candidates must possess a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with C-suite executives, supported by a portfolio of successfully executed contracts and tangible business impacts. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to connect complex business elements to deliver innovative solutions. Exceptional communication skills are essential, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across diverse cultures. Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in additional languages such as Arabic, French, or German is advantageous.
