The incumbent will assume leadership for pricing initiatives pertaining to the medical device portfolio across the EMEA region. This pivotal role necessitates the formulation and execution of value-based pricing strategies to maintain product competitiveness, ensure regulatory compliance, and align with market demands and customer expectations. Responsibilities encompass cross-functional collaboration to optimize pricing models, enhance profitability, and support the expansion of medical device offerings within diverse EMEA markets. Key duties include: shaping and scaling the regional pricing function; defining and implementing a structured pricing strategy; building and leading a high-impact pricing organization; strengthening governance frameworks; positioning pricing as a value-creation lever; driving strategic price management; overseeing price-setting processes; leading the annual pricing strategy cycle; delivering actionable pricing guidance; ensuring cross-functional alignment; standardizing price management; championing a harmonized pricing governance model; ensuring pricing data integrity; leading monthly pricing performance reviews; developing and enhancing pricing dashboards; leveraging advanced analytics; driving innovation in pricing methodologies; providing tender pricing strategy guidance; acting as a strategic advisor for high-value deals; leading pricing strategy for complex tenders; collaborating with commercial and marketing teams; influencing a matrixed organization; partnering with senior leadership; serving as a trusted advisor; defining and executing the regional pricing strategy; integrating market insights; monitoring the impact of pricing strategies; recruiting, mentoring, and developing a best-in-class pricing team; and fostering a culture of innovation.
Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Life Sciences, or related field.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in strategic pricing, commercial strategy, or business development, with a focus on the medical device or healthcare sector.
In-depth understanding of the medical device industry, including regulatory frameworks, pricing and reimbursement processes, and competitive landscape.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies in a multinational, regulated environment.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in pricing analytics, market research, and competitor analysis.
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with senior leadership to drive business growth.
Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional European languages being a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated success in managing a region’s end to end pricing function.
Familiarity with HTA processes, national reimbursement systems, and public/private healthcare policies.
Experience with pricing optimization tools or platforms (e.g., PowerBi, ModelN, PROS, Zilliant, or similar).
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and educate stakeholders at all levels.
