Job Description:**Canonical is seeking a Sales Director, ISV Embedded Solutions to drive partnerships for the licensing and embedding of Ubuntu and Ubuntu Pro into software and SaaS solutions. Canonical’s Ubuntu platform is widely adopted in pivotal enterprise initiatives spanning public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. The company’s clientele includes prominent public cloud and silicon providers, as well as industry leaders across diverse sectors. As a pioneer of global distributed collaboration, Canonical fosters a workplace of 1,100+ colleagues across 75+ countries, with a minimal emphasis on office-based roles. Teams convene in person two to four times annually at global locations to align on strategy and execution.

**Responsibilities:**

The Sales Director, ISV Embedded Solutions will collaborate with Product, Alliances, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing teams to identify and engage ISV accounts, introduce Canonical’s offerings, and assist partners in developing products that effectively leverage the company’s portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

* Driving embedded support and licensing sales with ISVs to exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets.
* Leading customer and partner relationships and interactions throughout the sales, customer success, and support lifecycle.
* Deepening engagement with the open source ecosystem.
* Identifying and developing strategic partnerships.
* Collaborating with product management to enhance platform and solution suitability for ISVs.
* Negotiating contracts with new and existing ISV partners and customers.
* Shaping content and messaging for ISV partners and customers.

**Qualifications:**

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

* Exceptional academic record from high school and university.
* Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or equivalent experience.
* Proven ability to establish strategic relationships with large organizations at all levels.
* Extensive experience with the software and SaaS industry, Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred), the open source ecosystem, cloud models, and container service offerings.
* Experience with lead generation and business development in the software sector.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills in business English.
* Demonstrated drive to meet commitments and exceed expectations.
* Commitment to leadership, skills development, and mentorship.
* Appreciation of diversity and effectiveness in a multicultural, multinational organization.
* Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events (up to two weeks long).
