La Cigale Hotel, a distinguished landmark in Doha, is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join its Engineering and Maintenance team. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Director of Engineering.

**Job Responsibilities:**

The Electrician will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of electrical systems within the hotel, including:

* Providing consistently professional and engaging service.
* Communicating with Engineering Management and Team Leader regarding potential improvements and efficiency enhancements.
* Executing planned and unplanned maintenance programs for various accommodation systems.
* Coordinating with and informing Engineering Management and Team Leader about any service disruptions.
* Adhering to safe work practices and utilizing efficient methods for equipment maintenance and repair.
* Maintaining cleanliness and order in areas of responsibility according to established standards and procedures.
* Ensuring the proper condition and responsible use of all accommodation assets (Housekeeping and Engineering).
* Maintaining equipment in a clean and well-repaired state.
* Attending daily briefings with the Supervisor and undertaking assigned tasks.
* Reporting lost and found articles to the Housing Manager/Assistant Accommodation Manager immediately.
* Addressing colleague complaints and reporting them to the Supervisor.
* Accurately recording room status in assigned sections.
* Complying with the Hotel’s health, safety, and hygiene policies.
* Adhering to personnel grooming and hygiene standards.
* Attending meetings and training sessions as required.
* Performing additional duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

* Previous experience is an asset.
* High School diploma or equivalent, along with related technical or trades certification.
* Minimum of two years of experience as a service technician, preferably in the hospitality or hospital industry.
* Proficiency in MV/LV repair and maintenance, with basic knowledge of at least one other building operations skill set.
* Ability to utilize general repair tools, interpret shop drawings and specifications, and provide rough estimates of required materials.
* Ability to work independently with strong interpersonal skills.
* A creative, practical, and pro-active approach to problem-solving.
* An energetic and dynamic personality.
