**Summary:**

This position is responsible for the preparation and execution of high-quality food items in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. Key responsibilities include the preparation of special meals and substitute items, regulation of cooking appliance temperatures, and the proper thawing of food items. The Culinary Professional will ensure appropriate portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food, while maintaining accurate food logs and monitoring food quality and quantity. Effective communication with both culinary and service staff is essential, including informing the Chef of excess food items and notifying the Food & Beverage service team of menu specials and out-of-stock items. This role requires adherence to all company and safety protocols, including the reporting of maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe conditions.

**Responsibilities:**

* Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards.
* Prepare special meal requests and substitute items as needed.
* Regulate temperatures of cooking equipment, including ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
* Thaw food items in accordance with established procedures.
* Ensure proper portion control, arrangement, and garnishing of food.
* Maintain accurate food logs.
* Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
* Communicate effectively with culinary and service staff.
* Inform the Chef of excess food items for utilization in daily specials.
* Notify Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.
* Complete safety training and certifications as required.
* Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
* Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
* Anticipate and address guest service needs.
* Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and support team goals.
* Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors.

**Qualifications:**

* **Education:** Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
* **Experience:** Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience.
* **Supervisory Experience:** None
* **License/Certification:** None

**Physical Requirements:**

This position requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. Reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping are also required. The ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds is necessary.
