**Position Summary:**

The Culinary Professional is responsible for the preparation and cooking of food items in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation checklists. Key responsibilities include the preparation of specialized meals and item substitutions, regulation of cooking equipment temperatures, proper thawing of food items, ensuring appropriate portion control, arrangement, and garnishment, and maintaining accurate food logs.

This individual will actively monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food, communicate any assistance needed during peak periods, and inform the Chef of excess food items suitable for daily specials. Additionally, the Culinary Professional will communicate menu specials and out-of-stock items to Food & Beverage service staff. A commitment to food quality is paramount.

The Culinary Professional will also prepare cold food items and provide support to management in areas such as hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees, serving as a positive role model. Adherence to all company policies, safety protocols, and security procedures is required, including the reporting of maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management, and the completion of all mandated safety training and certifications.

Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, upholding the confidentiality of proprietary information, and safeguarding company assets are essential aspects of this role. The Culinary Professional will anticipate and address guest service needs, communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, and foster positive working relationships to support team goals, responding appropriately to employee concerns. Ensuring strict adherence to quality expectations and standards is a core function.

This position requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, reach overhead and below the knees, and perform movements including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. The ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance is necessary. Other reasonable job duties may be assigned by Supervisors.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* **Education:** Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
* **Related Work Experience:** Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience.
* **Supervisory Experience:** None.
* **License or Certification:** None.
