Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and security of items.
- Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
- Verify and document the accuracy of orders before departure and upon delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Handle customer inquiries and address any concerns or issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations, including proper vehicle maintenance and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
- Report any delivery discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality of customer information.
- Assist with other warehouse or logistics tasks as needed.
Skills
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or a similar role is a plus.
- Knowledge of local roads and routes in the area.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as needed.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable and punctual.
