Job Description: **Data Engineer**

We seek a proficient Data Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain robust data architectures that facilitate high-performance data processing and retrieval. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of algorithms, databases, and programming principles, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and efficiency.

**Responsibilities:**

* Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for the ingestion, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources into our data warehouse or data lake.
* Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ascertain data requirements and implement solutions that support business intelligence and informed decision-making.
* Optimize data pipelines and processes to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
* Design and implement data models, schemas, and metadata in accordance with data governance and analytics requirements.
* Monitor and troubleshoot data processing jobs, performance anomalies, and data quality issues.
* Ensure adherence to data security, privacy, and relevant regulatory compliance standards.
* Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and best practices in the field of data engineering, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our data infrastructure and processes.
* Document technical specifications, data flow diagrams, and system architecture.
* Experience with data security within the data management domain, specifically at the data lake level.
* Demonstrated experience with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a working knowledge of DevOps principles.
