Job Description: **Data Center Operator Position – VAM Systems, Bahrain**
VAM Systems, a business consulting, IT solutions, and services firm, seeks a Data Center Operator for its Bahrain operations. The successful candidate will possess the requisite skills and experience outlined below:
**Qualifications and Experience:**
*   **Essential:** A university degree in Information Technology from a recognized university or institution.
*   **Desirable:** IT certification. A minimum of one year of experience in an IT role involving customer interaction.
**Skills:**
*   **Essential:** Demonstrated proficiency in English (written and spoken). Proven customer service awareness and skills.
*   **Desirable:** Fluency in Business Professional English.
**Knowledge:**
*   **Essential:** Fundamental IT technical skills encompassing installation, configuration, and support.
*   **Desirable:** Advanced IT technical skills, including the ability to efficiently resolve IT issues, make sound decisions regarding problem resolution, and demonstrate analytical and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
**Personal Attributes:**
*   **Essential:** A strong professional demeanor, a user-friendly approach, patience, flexibility, and a strong sense of commitment.
*   **Desirable:** Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Maturity, a professional attitude with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and the capacity to handle work pressure.
**Responsibilities:**
*   Provide 24×7 Data Center support on a shift basis, maintaining high quality and professional standards.
*   Monitor, control, and configure data center resources in accordance with established procedures.
*   Effectively utilize software tools to monitor activities and applications.
*   Troubleshoot issues that may cause system outages and report any issues to support groups as necessary, initiating prompt corrective action.
*   Interface with customers and/or business support groups and escalate issues to appropriate personnel.
*   Monitor and verify the UPS and fire alarms.
*   Monitor the physical environment of computer systems, ensuring security and optimal system performance, coordinating with support groups to address any deficiencies.
*   Receive, monitor, and process all batch processing tasks, identifying and resolving failures and scheduling problems.
*   Execute all backup tasks for various operating systems, applications, and databases as per established procedures.
*   Execute and monitor all data center scheduled activities.
*   Act as first-level Service Desk support to resolve technical and customer problems within defined standards.
*   Log and classify received incidents and undertake immediate efforts to restore failed IT services as quickly as possible.
*   Manage incidents, keeping all concerned parties informed of status at agreed intervals.
*   Resolve customer-reported IT problems remotely as first/second level support, providing proper guidance to callers.
*   Adhere to existing processes and procedures, recommending changes based on experience and reported issues.
*   Effectively multitask and support various users simultaneously.
*   Demonstrate the ability to follow tasks through to completion.
*   Conduct ad-hoc assignments and projects as directed by management based on business requirements.
**Terms and Conditions:**
*   Joining Timeframe: 15-30 days.
*   The selected candidate will join VAM Systems – Bahrain and will be assigned to one of the leading organizations in Bahrain.
