Job Description:IDC seeks a Data Analyst to contribute to its software team. The incumbent will engage with various IDC software programs, encompassing applications, application development and deployment, and systems infrastructure software. Familiarity with AI platforms is considered a beneficial asset. This position requires the candidate to conduct thorough market research, analyze data sets, and generate actionable insights to inform strategic business decisions. The candidate must demonstrate the capacity to interpret intricate data, discern patterns, and derive significant conclusions through the evaluation of diverse data sources, synthesizing quantitative and qualitative information to provide actionable recommendations.

**Responsibilities include:**

* Conducting primary market research on designated companies, AI platforms, industry sectors, and countries to cultivate a comprehensive understanding of key market drivers.
* Developing and maintaining advanced financial and technology market models at the company level to assess business performance and forecast market trends.
* Monitoring vendor strategies, product innovations, partnerships, market trends, industry developments, earnings calls, and technology buyer use cases to acquire pertinent insights and knowledge.
* Developing, expanding, and maintaining a network of contacts among key AI platform vendors.
* Ensuring the punctual and accurate delivery of all program deliverables.
* Preparing detailed reports and presentations to disseminate findings to stakeholders.
* Developing market forecasts and predictive models employing statistical methods and tools to anticipate future trends and technology buyer behavior.
* Maintaining and updating databases with relevant market data and research findings.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop customized vendor and market models, including supporting custom consulting projects as necessary.
