Job Description:**Subject: Customer Support Solutions Lead Engineer Position**
The Grid Automation Customer Support Center of Excellence (CoE) assumes responsibility for the comprehensive after-sales support process within Grid Automation, functioning as the global center of excellence team at the Product Line level. This CoE develops best practices in Customer Support and directs Product Lines in achieving strategic objectives defined for the Grid Automation business.
The Customer Support Solutions Lead Engineer provides support to Grid Automation regional units in the design, promotion, and execution of differentiated offers, as well as in the resolution of after-sales issues across the entire Grid Automation Solutions portfolio in Transmission, Distribution, and Industry segments. This individual collaborates with regional teams, Global Supply Chain, Quality, Product Management, and R&D teams, as necessary, to address customer requests and establish best practices for superior customer support.
**Essential Responsibilities:**
The Customer Support Solutions Lead Engineer is responsible for supporting Grid Automation regions on the following:
* Designing solutions for Substation control, Protection, and Monitoring for innovative projects, determining the conformity of standard solutions with customer requirements, and identifying potential specific developments and customization of the SA product portfolio.
* Creating demonstrators (Proof of Concept) for qualification, promotion, or within customer project execution.
* Differentiating the Grid Automation offer to deliver the most attractive solutions to customer needs in terms of total cost of ownership, flexibility (adaptability to electrical network operations and maintenance), performance, and life cycle management.
* Defining engineering strategy for system architecture design, considering interfaces with primary equipment, communication with IEDs and SCADA, arrangement and setting of the physical and logical communication network, redundancies of critical features, and optimization of system functions for protection, control, maintenance, and data modeling.
* Auditing the project basic and detailed design from regional teams on critical global or regional projects, including architectures, databases, and validation plans.
* Consolidating application libraries with customer use cases and design templates for sharing with Grid Automation Sales, Tendering, Operations, and partners in the regions. This includes architectures with corresponding use cases, design document templates, and database templates for electrical and graphical data.
* Providing coaching and expertise development to regional teams, enabling them to deliver innovative projects that meet customer expectations.
* Conducting site investigations and leading task forces on strategic projects.
The scope of this role encompasses the complete Grid Automation PAC portfolio of products and solutions, including:
* Distributed and digital control system DS Agile, including C264 BCU, AView HMI, ethernet switches, RTU platforms iBox, D20, D25, D400, G500.
* Engineering and maintenance tools, Cyber Security solutions and services
* Applications of electrical network management

**Qualifications/Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, and/or equivalent knowledge/experience in Electrical Engineering.
* Extensive experience leading technical project execution in grid automation portfolios.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Power System and Substation Control.
* Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric focus.
* Proficiency in computer technology, protection and control system design, validation, commissioning, cyber security, and communication protocols such as IEC61850, IEC 103, Modbus, DNP3.0, TCP/IP, and Ethernet.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and explain critical issues.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under stringent time constraints, requiring discretion, independent judgment, and the maintenance of positive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.
* Willingness and ability to travel 25% of the time.
* Mandatory proficiency in written and spoken English.
* Unrestricted legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship.
**Desired Characteristics:**
* In-depth knowledge of Protection Applications for Transmission, Generation, and Industry segments.
* Familiarity with product Quality metrics, MTBF, FMEA/HAZOP, cybersecurity, and functional safety.
