Job Description:
- Collaborate with the production team to develop day-to-day costing data based on production reports, ensuring accurate and efficient calculation of production costs.
- Analyze and prepare periodic reports on variances between actual production costs and standards, including consumption variances and efficiency variances.
- Estimate production costs for new and proposed products to support pricing and product development decisions.
- Perform monthly closing activities related to cost accounting, including cost of goods manufactured (COGM) and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Analyze costs incurred as well as resources utilized for operations, identifying areas of inefficiency and potential savings.
- Review and reconcile inventory reports on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly analysis and reports comparing budget vs. actual, initiating detailed deviation analysis and communicating findings to stakeholders.
