Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Contract Engineer to join our team in Al Kuwait, Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in contract management and engineering. As a Contract Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contract process, including negotiating and drafting contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions, and resolving any contract disputes. You will also be responsible for evaluating contractor performance and managing the contract closeout process. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Review and analyze contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Prepare and negotiate contracts, including scope of work, terms and conditions, and pricing.
  3. Manage the contract change order process, including evaluating proposed changes, negotiating pricing and terms, and obtaining necessary approvals.
  4. Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  5. Resolve any contract disputes or issues in a timely manner.
  6. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as legal, finance, and project management teams, to ensure successful contract execution.
  7. Manage the contract closeout process, including finalizing all deliverables, resolving any outstanding issues, and ensuring proper documentation.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
  9. Provide guidance and support to project teams on contract-related matters.
  10. Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in contract laws and regulations.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 6 years of experience in contract management and engineering.
  3. Strong knowledge of contract laws and regulations.
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  6. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  7. Ability to analyze complex contractual issues and provide practical solutions.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
  9. Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  10. Experience in the construction or engineering industry is preferred.
