Consultant Psychiatrist

As a Psychiatrist in Dubai, you will provide high-quality mental health care services to a diverse range of patients. You will diagnose, treat, and manage mental health disorders, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive treatment plans. The position requires strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a patient-centered approach, catering to both expatriates and local Emirati populationsResponsibilitiesReview patients’ medical history and collect additional information from family members and psychologists as neededEvaluate patients’ emotional, behavioural and mental state through discussion, observation and analysisIdentify mental disorders and determine best treatmentsDevelop therapy plansPrescribe medicationsAnalyse medical tests and track patients’ progressCoordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalization is requiredAdvise patients on how to cope with mental diseases and emotional breakdownsSupport patients’ loved ones and inform them about the patient’s conditionResearch medical issues and new medical treatments to update your knowledge on mental healthcare.RequirementsBachelors or MD degree in medicine completedSpecialization degree and Residency program in PsychiatryMore than 3 yrs Work experience as a PsychiatristIn-depth knowledge of various psychotherapeutic methodsExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions to a non-medical audienceA great bedside manner and the ability to remain calm, empathetic and patient while interacting with patients who suffer from severe mental disorders
