Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
- In coordination with Activity Managers, and Field Office counterparts, lead the strengthening and roll out of the implementation plan for early recovery and self-resilience.
- Develop programme documentation to oversee programme cycle management, including results frameworks and associated reporting formats, budgetary tracking tools, risk mitigation frameworks, and programmatic overviews that can be used for both internal and external communications purposes.
- Support the integration of cross-cutting expertise, such as conflict sensitivity, gender, protection, and inclusion considerations into programme design and implementation.
- In coordination with the RAM team ensure that appropriate evidence and targeting measures inform the quality of the programme design, and establish appropriate monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks, and ensure that programme milestones and successes are shared with the relevant teams for both internal and external communications and advocacy.
- Coordinate with a range of stakeholders to ensure that the programme portfolio leverages opportunities external to WFP’s activities, notably private sector opportunities as well as national and sub-national government programmes, and other UN Agencies.
- Support the country offices’ management to describe efforts of WFP’s Turkey country office’s contribution to systems through early recovery and self-resilience resilience activities. This could include through developing a simple overview of the strategic approach that the country office is taking, and how this links to WFP’s corporate priorities, the country strategic plan, and the needs of the country.
- Support country office management to adhere to corporate reporting progress, including inputting into the annual country report or necessary budget revisions.
- Work with DCD and Partnership on private sector engagement and cooperation.
Skills
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Advanced University degree in Economics, International Development, Social Sciences or other related field, or First University degree with additional 5-8+ years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
Language: Fluency (level C) in English language.

OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Solid experience in programme cycle management in a range of technical areas including Food Security, integrated resilience and livelihood programmes, capacity strengthening, and systems approaches.
- Solid understanding of WFP’s corporate processes.
- Experience in participatory planning at the community level and facilitation of multi-stakeholder consultations.
- Ability to establish and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lead, build capacity and foster an inclusive team.
- Ability to initiate and lead innovation that strives for continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
