Job Description
Responsibilities:
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor computer systems and network devices to ensure they are running smoothly.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter data into computer systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Backup and Recovery: Perform routine data backups and assist in data recovery procedures in case of system failures.
- Hardware Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware components, including printers, servers, and peripherals.
- Software Operations: Execute scheduled jobs and batch processes, including system updates and software installations.
- User Support: Provide basic technical support to end-users by resolving issues related to software, hardware, and system access.
- Documentation: Maintain records of computer operations, including job logs, error reports, and maintenance records.
- Security Compliance: Follow established security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure the security of computer systems.
- Reporting: Generate reports on system performance and issues, and communicate findings to the IT team or management.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to system alerts and escalate issues to appropriate teams or vendors when necessary.
Skills
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Computer Operator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
- Familiarity with data entry and basic troubleshooting.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, if required.
