**Job Objective:**

Reporting to the Commercial Manager and supporting the Commercial Director, the Commercial Lead will collaborate closely with the project team in commercial management and change management. The incumbent will execute post-award commercial management tasks in accordance with established company frameworks, focusing on contract management, risk mitigation, change management, return monitoring, adherence to cash management protocols, and supply chain management. This position requires coordination with Change Management Coordinators.

**Responsibilities:**

* **Post-Award Contract Administration and Compliance:**
* Manage commercial administration procedures, ensuring adherence to contract terms and compliance with company policies.
* Oversee the maintenance of contract deliverables, including guarantees, insurances, change management plans, invoicing, and templates.
* Manage contractual correspondence with clients and third parties, addressing issues as they arise.
* **Risk Management:**
* Collaborate with the Commercial Director to implement a robust risk management approach, encouraging proactive risk identification and pre-emptive action.
* **Change Management:**
* Understand contractual change mechanisms, ensuring clear communication to the project team and compliance with contractual obligations.
* Support the change management protocol, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and timely issuance of accurate notices.
* **Financial and Cash Flow Management:**
* Actively manage commercial contributions to profitability, monitoring project returns and implementing necessary adjustments.
* **Project Monitoring and Reporting:**
* Attend Project Management Reviews (PMRs), evaluating project metrics and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
* Provide input into regular reports for senior management, detailing project contract and change management status.
* **Commercial Closeout:**
* Support the resolution of claims, variations, and disputes in accordance with established procedures.

**Qualifications:**

* **Experience and Skills:**
* A minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial management of large-scale projects, preferably within the engineering or construction industries. Experience with ADNOC projects is preferred.
* In-depth knowledge of post-award contract management, including compensation models, risk mitigation, and change management.
* Demonstrated ability to supervise or directly deliver commercial management services as required.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
* Proficiency in financial analysis related to project cash flow, profitability, and return on investment.
* **Educational Background:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying (QS), Engineering, Business, or Law preferred.
* **Key Competencies:**
* Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
* Exceptional problem-solving skills and resilience under pressure.
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders.
* Adaptability to pivot between oversight and hands-on contract management.
