The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for excavation, grading, and site development projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work.Perform quantity take-offs for earthworks, grading, and excavation activities.Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to prepare detailed estimates.Develop bid proposals and submit competitive tenders in accordance with company standards.Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure estimates align with operational capabilities.Maintain and update cost databases, historical project records, and estimating tools.Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving measures.Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations as required.Monitor industry trends, pricing changes, and market conditions.Desired Skills & QualificationsBasic Civil Engineering Knowledge: A foundational understanding of civil engineering plans and concepts is highly desirable.Technical Aptitude: Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and master proprietary software.Communication: Excellent English language skills for clear communication with clients and team members.Self-Motivation: A proactive and self-motivated work ethic with the ability to manage your workload independently.Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
