Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Accountant and Senior Accountant to join our growing medical company in Amman, Jordan. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decision-making.
- Manage the entire accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) according to Jordanian accounting standards and international best practices.
- Oversee tax compliance and ensure timely filing of all tax returns.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support informed business decisions.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting regulations and best practices.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or similar senior accounting role in a medical company or a related industry.
- Proven experience with QuickBooks accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Jordanian tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with financial reporting software beyond QuickBooks.
- Possession of a valid Jordanian driver’s license (not mandatory).
