Job Description:The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a critical member of the executive leadership team, assuming responsibility for the direction and oversight of all financial functions. This encompasses strategic financial planning, financial forecasting, budget administration, risk management, and the maintenance of regulatory compliance. The CFO will provide expert analysis and recommendations to facilitate organizational growth, inform investment decisions, and ensure the overall financial stability of the entity.
**Principal Responsibilities:**
**I. Strategic Financial Leadership:**
* Formulate and implement the corporation’s financial strategy in alignment with established business objectives.
* Advise the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors on matters pertaining to financial planning, budgetary control, cash flow management, and investment prioritization.
* Evaluate and structure real estate transactions, acquisitions, and capital projects.
**II. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):**
* Direct financial forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis across all real estate portfolios, encompassing commercial, residential, and development assets.
* Analyze prevailing market trends to strategically position the corporation for sustained future success and expansion.
**III. Accounting and Reporting:**
* Supervise all aspects of accounting, taxation, auditing, and internal controls.
* Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports in accordance with both local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
* Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
**IV. Capital and Investment Management:**
* Develop capital allocation strategies, including the utilization of equity, debt financing, and joint ventures.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banking institutions, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
* Optimize the capital structure to support growth initiatives while effectively managing financial risk.
**V. Operational Oversight:**
* Implement systems, processes, and policies designed to enhance financial efficiency and transparency.
* Oversee budgetary matters related to property development, maintenance, leasing, and acquisitions.
* Manage payroll administration, procurement processes, and financial information technology systems.
**VI. Risk Management and Compliance:**
* Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
* Ensure comprehensive compliance with all applicable legal, tax, and regulatory frameworks.
* Supervise insurance programs, audits, and corporate governance functions.
Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years in the real estate sector.
• Strong knowledge of real estate finance, development cycles, and investment structures.
• Proven experience in capital raising, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
• High proficiency with financial modeling tools, ERP systems (e.g., Yardi, SAP, Oracle), and MS Excel.
