Job Description:Key Accountabilities This role encompasses both managerial and functional responsibilities, requiring a strategic and hands-on approach to financial operations. Managerial Accountabilities: Oversee and approve lease agreements via DocuSign. Validate and approve leasing public relations (PR) initiatives. Provide support to leasing operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure strict compliance with all applicable local and international financial regulations. Develop and implement robust internal controls within the leasing business to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy. Maintain a professional, respectful, and proactive demeanor in all interactions with colleagues and guests. Liaise with department heads to provide and gather financial information crucial for informed business decisions. Ensure the smooth and efficient management of Accounts Receivable (AR) and the Financial Shared Services (FSS) team, specifically for AR/AP/GL modules. Functional Accountabilities: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual Trial Balances and revenue schedules. Generate weekly and monthly AR reports to monitor receivables performance. Manage weekly bounced cheque reports and coordinate with the legal team to stay abreast of relevant updates and legal actions. Oversee Value Added Tax (VAT) reporting, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations. Manage relationships with external auditors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, serving as a key point of contact. Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned to support the overall functioning of the finance department. Adapt to changes in workplace functions as dictated by evolving business needs. Actively represent the Company, promoting potential business opportunities whenever possible. Coordinate and liaise with banks, internal auditors, and external auditors to facilitate audits and financial transactions. Review and verify daily postings, accruals, and various general ledger accounts. Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations and manage month-end closing procedures. Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Verify expense reimbursements, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures and validating supporting documentation. Verify journal vouchers, prepaid expenses, intercompany cross charges, operating provisions, payroll, payroll accruals, stores issues and reconciliation, food and beverage cost, and allocation of expenses. Qualifications and Experience Essential Experience and Technical Knowledge: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a similar finance management role. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely. Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also demonstrating strong teamwork skills. Proficiency in English language is essential. At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, demonstrating the ability to manage and motivate a team. Experience working in a GCC country is preferred. Experience in the Property Management and Mall Management industries is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and UAE regulations, including VAT. Qualifications: ESSENTIAL: Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting. DESIRABLE: Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA). Key Competencies and Skills Behavioral Competencies: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. High ethical standards and a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines consistently. Other General Skills: Proficiency in financial software (e.g., EPM, Fusion, Yardi). Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify and resolve complex financial issues. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
