Job Description:**Option:**
The organization is seeking a highly qualified and meticulous Chief Accountant to augment its finance department. The successful applicant will possess a minimum of seven years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably within the restaurant sector, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and best practices. Experience with Odoo ERP is advantageous, as is familiarity with financial regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) or the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Fluency in English is essential for effective communication within a multinational environment. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for:
* Supervising all accounting functions, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
* Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting.
* Preparing and analyzing financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
* Managing budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads.
* Establishing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard data accuracy and integrity.
* Monitoring financial transactions and promptly resolving discrepancies.
* Preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring adherence to applicable local and international tax regulations.
* Conducting variance analysis to evaluate financial performance against budgetary targets and prior periods.
* Coordinating with external auditors and ensuring the timely completion of audit engagements.
* Leveraging Odoo ERP (preferred) to optimize accounting procedures and enhance data management.
* Remaining current with KSA or UAE accounting regulations and applying this knowledge as required.
* Providing support to the finance team in strategic financial planning and decision-making processes.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or similar certification is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, with a significant portion in the restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations, with additional knowledge of KSA or UAE regulations being a plus.
- Proficiency in Odoo ERP is an advantage.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other financial software.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
