Job OverviewOunass is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Buyer (MAT Cover) – Kidswear to join the Buying team. This role plays a key part in shaping the Kidswear assortment by identifying the right products, curating brands, and ensuring commercial success across the category. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of fashion trends, an analytical mindset, and a strong sense of brand positioning to deliver a well-balanced and profitable collection that resonates with Ounass customers.What You’ll Be DoingSupporting the end-to-end buying process for the Kidswear category — from range planning and selection to purchasing, pricing, and product lifecycle management.Partnering with the Planning, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to align on stock levels, sell-through targets, and campaign product selections.Monitoring category performance and providing insights on sales, stock, and margin to ensure alignment with overall business goals.Building and maintaining strong relationships with brand partners and suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration and timely deliveries.Staying up to date with market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to make informed buying decisions.Assisting in seasonal buying appointments, preparation of brand reports, and managing reorders to drive commercial opportunities.Supporting the Buyer with buying feedback reports, performance reviews, and recommendations for future seasons.What We’re Looking ForA self-driven buyer with 5–8 years of experience in luxury or premium fashion retail, preferably with exposure to Kidswear or related categories.Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to balance creative intuition and commercial strategy.Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and external partners.Proficiency in Excel and retail systems, with the ability to interpret sales data and consumer trends effectively.A team player with a passion for fashion, children’s trends, and delivering an elevated customer experience.
