Job Description: **Business Analyst Position**
**Job Summary:**
The Business Analyst is responsible for driving product development through the identification of strategic initiatives, comprehensive market research, the creation of product epics, the formulation of integrated development plans, and the design of product strategies that are closely aligned with the client’s business objectives. The incumbent will collaborate with experienced teams to plan, manage, and execute key product initiatives encompassing a range of features.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Requirements Elicitation:** Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, product owners, and IT departments, to elicit and document detailed business requirements. Conduct interviews, facilitate workshops, and perform analyses to prioritize and refine requirements.
* **Business Process Optimization:** Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas of inefficiency, bottlenecks, and opportunities for enhancement. Recommend streamlined processes and system improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
* **Data Analysis and Interpretation:** Analyze extensive datasets pertaining to customer behavior, risk management, and financial performance. Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support data-driven decision-making processes.
* **System Analysis and Design:** Evaluate current banking systems and applications to identify gaps and recommend enhancements or new solutions. Collaborate with IT teams to define functional specifications, conduct feasibility studies, and support system implementation and testing phases.
* **Regulatory Compliance Adherence:** Maintain a thorough understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements. Ensure that proposed solutions and system modifications adhere to regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
* **Risk Assessment and Mitigation:** Identify and assess potential risks associated with banking operations, processes, and systems. Collaborate with risk management teams to develop effective risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance.
* **User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Management:** Define comprehensive UAT scenarios and test cases. Collaborate with business users to conduct UAT, ensuring system functionality aligns with business requirements and validating end-to-end processes.
* **Documentation and Reporting:** Prepare comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, process flow diagrams, functional specifications, and user manuals. Generate reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project status updates to stakeholders.
* **Stakeholder Relationship Management:** Cultivate strong working relationships with business users, project managers, IT teams, and other relevant stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to ensure alignment between business needs and IT solutions.
* **Continuous Improvement Initiatives:** Monitor system performance, gather user feedback, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, systems, and customer experiences.
* **Project Definition and Design:** Participate in exploratory discussions pertaining to desired improvements in business operations performance. Review and analyze current IT systems, documentation, and work process requirements to identify system capability gaps. Document current and future business, system, and data flows.
* **Development and Testing Support:** Work in an advisory capacity with the development team to facilitate the creation of new systems. Collaborate with the testing team to develop relevant test scenarios and testing plans.
* **Implementation, Maintenance, and Monitoring:** Facilitate the implementation or roll-out of new functionality (e.g., assist with the design, development, and delivery of training for end users). Plan and develop data conversion strategies from the current system to the new structure, if required.
* **Process Review and Enhancement:** Conduct ongoing reviews of processes and systems to ensure alignment with evolving business conditions and new product and service offerings.
