Job Description:Station Manager – Operations Department Job Summary: The Operations Department Manager is a critical leadership role within JD Logistics’ Saudi Arabian operations. This position is responsible for the comprehensive management of service outlets, encompassing daily operations, team leadership and development, and strategic market expansion initiatives. The primary objective is to ensure the efficient attainment of business objectives, promote the localization of the JoyExpress brand within Saudi Arabia, and optimize performance across key areas including last-mile delivery, customer relationship management, and revenue growth. Key Responsibilities: Business Management: Develop and implement annual operational plans and budgets, closely monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates for same-day and next-day services, and ensure alignment of all operational activities with established company standards and objectives. Team Leadership: Effectively manage and lead local teams, including couriers, drivers, and customer service representatives. Focus on comprehensive training programs, performance evaluation processes, and strategic talent development initiatives to enhance Saudization efforts and build a high-performing workforce. Risk Control: Ensure strict adherence to all relevant compliance regulations, proactively address and manage emergency situations (e.g., safety incidents), and cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with local communities and governmental entities, including the Saudi Transport and Logistics Services Ministry. Operational Oversight: Oversee all day-to-day logistics operations at the station level, including inbound and outbound shipments, last-mile delivery processes, and efficient management of returns. Staff Management: Manage, train, and supervise station staff, including supervisors, drivers, and couriers, to optimize workforce utilization and minimize labor costs. Forecasting and Planning: Accurately forecast volume fluctuations and proactively plan for staffing needs to ensure adequate resources are available to meet operational demands. Reporting and Documentation: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key operational metrics, including report updates and meticulous staff attendance records. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships with other departments, including Human Resources, Finance, Fleet Management, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless and efficient station operations. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in operations management, with demonstrated experience leading teams of ten (10) or more individuals. Experience in cross-border e-commerce or the Middle Eastern market is highly desirable. Language: Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.
