Job Description:**Job Description**

**Job Purpose:**

The primary purpose of this role is to provide accurate and timely financial accounting and analysis, including the administration and management of payroll, and to assist the Finance Manager (FM) in all matters pertaining to compliance, reporting, and audit functions.

**Job Dimensions:**

**Key Accountabilities:**

* Ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closures, and the preparation of management reports and financial statements to meet strict group reporting deadlines.
* In coordination with the FM, prepare and analyze periodic cash forecasts, exceptional reporting, and inventory & general provisioning.
* Process the employee payroll on a monthly basis and post transactions to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
* Analyze collated data and file periodic VAT returns, and liaise with consultants as needed in coordination with the FM.
* Serve as controller and custodian of the company’s general ledger and chart of accounts, ensuring accuracy and correctness.
* Collaborate with the FM in detailing and accumulating data for the preparation of monthly reporting, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets, utilizing extensive Excel-based analytical reporting, including dashboards.
* Work alongside the FM on ad-hoc deliverables to support both internal and external financial and analytical reporting requirements.
* Collaborate with the FM in managing the yearly statutory audit process by preparing schedules and coordinating with auditors for the smooth completion of the audit.
* Assist the FM in ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, and the ongoing development and implementation of internal controls and procedures across the business.
* Collaborate with the FM in liaising with the AX team for any AX-related requirements as needed.
* Contribute to value addition to existing processes.
* Manage and mentor accountants.

**Job Context:**

This position is responsible for:

* Participating as a finance stakeholder for the business in cross-functional teams.
* Working effectively with stakeholders, as well as individuals of diverse backgrounds and personality types.

**Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:**

* Degree in recognized accounting qualification (ACCA / ACA / CMA).

**Minimum Experience:**

* Ten (10) years of experience in a similar role.
