**Summary:**

The Rooms & Guest Services Operations Associate is responsible for providing exceptional service to hotel guests by efficiently managing all aspects of the check-in and check-out process. This includes verifying guest identity and payment, assigning rooms, issuing room keys, and establishing accurate guest accounts. The Associate will also ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures, address guest inquiries and requests, and maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times.

**Responsibilities:**

* Process guest check-ins and check-outs, adhering to established procedures.
* Verify guest identification and payment method; assign rooms and issue/activate room keys.
* Establish and maintain accurate guest accounts based on individual requirements.
* Enter and update Marriott Rewards information.
* Ensure rate accuracy based on market codes; document any exceptions.
* Secure payment prior to issuing room keys; verify and adjust billing as needed.
* Compile and review daily reports, logs, and contingency lists.
* Complete cashier and closing reports accurately and efficiently.
* Provide guests with clear and concise directions and property information.
* Address guest requests and escalate to appropriate staff when necessary; follow up to ensure satisfactory resolution.
* Process various payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges.
* Balance and drop receipts; maintain cash bank security at all times.
* Obtain manual authorizations and adhere to all accounting procedures.
* Report any guest reports of theft to Loss Prevention/Security.
* Assist management with employee training, evaluation, counseling, motivation, and coaching.
* Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team goals and address employee concerns appropriately.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
* Complete required safety training and certifications; maintain a clean and professional appearance.
* Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
* Welcome and acknowledge all guests; anticipate and address service needs; assist individuals with disabilities.
* Express genuine appreciation to guests.
* Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing; answer telephones using proper etiquette.
* Ensure adherence to quality standards.
* Utilize computers and POS systems to enter and locate information.
* Maintain physical stamina to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
* Lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
* Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* **Education:** High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
* **Related Work Experience:** Minimum of one year of related work experience.
* **Supervisory Experience:** Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
* **License or Certification:** None
