Job Description
Objectives: The Assistant Accountant will be managing personal accounts and investment portfolios.Main responsibilities:– Record investment activities, including conducting audits, preparing valuation materials, managing aspects related to general ledger accounting- Designing and controlling systems of records, auditing books, and preparing financial statements- Providing tax advice and preparing tax returns when necessary including advising on when to file to avoid penalties- Handle personal bookkeeping such as recording transactions as they occur- Review financial records for accuracy, efficiency and compliance with current laws- Prepare financial statements and advise on where money may be saved or revenue increased

University Qualifications: BSc Accounting and Finance or similar fieldOther certifications obtained: ACCA, CIMA or CPANature and length of previous experience: 3-5 years experience as an Accounts AssistantSpecialist knowledge:– Peach Tree / Sage 50- Accounting principles and practices- IT Proficiency- Financial statements and reportingSoft Skills and Personality traits:– Attention to detail- Analytical- Self-motivation- Integrity- Business acumen- Organizational skills- Communication- Problem solving- TeamworkLanguage Fluency: English fluency is essential for the role, Arabic would be an advantageAge Range: 25-35
