Job Description:• Manages project operations by establishing priorities, assigning tasks, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution, and completing performance evaluations. Oversees major projects, providing expert troubleshooting for system malfunctions. Collaborates with the MEP Design Manager in the collection and analysis of all relevant task/project data. Establishes project timelines in conjunction with the MEP Design Manager and junior engineering team members. Communicates project requirements to team members. Prepares and issues Requests for Information (RFIs) to the MEP Design Manager promptly upon task/project assignment. Defines and establishes computer models, design methodologies, design criteria, drawing methodologies (including title blocks, layers, numbering systems, and levels of detail), calculation report templates, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) templates. Prepares, certifies, and issues Design Criteria, Technical Specifications, and Methods of Measurement to the MEP Design Manager. Reviews, approves, certifies, and issues design documents (computer models, calculation reports, BOQs, and drawings) to the MEP Design Manager in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with project requirements, specifications, design criteria, and schedules. Provides ongoing technical support to team members to ensure the timely issuance of design documents in accordance with project requirements and schedules. Distributes workload among team members. Reviews and analyzes quantity outcomes to ensure value engineering objectives are met. Prepares periodic evaluation and progress reports on team activities as required.
