The individual in this role will assume responsibility for the oversight and management of the accounting department’s daily functions, guaranteeing the precision and prompt execution of financial transactions. Responsibilities encompass the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and reports to ascertain adherence to accounting standards and regulatory stipulations. This includes the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls designed to optimize operational efficiency and protect company assets. Further duties involve coordinating and leading month-end and year-end closing procedures, encompassing reconciliations and journal entries; supervising, mentoring, and training junior accounting personnel to cultivate professional growth and maximize performance; collaborating with other departments to facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives; managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions; acting as a liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities during audit engagements and compliance assessments; identifying prospects for process optimization and automation within the accounting function; and ensuring the timely and accurate submission of tax returns and other mandatory financial obligations.
