**Job Summary:**
Our organization seeks a highly qualified Project Director to assume responsibility for the successful execution of large-scale Wind and Solar energy projects (500MW+) within the GCC region. The selected candidate will be entrusted with the oversight of project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring strict adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory mandates, and financial parameters. This pivotal role demands exceptional leadership acumen, strategic planning proficiency, and stakeholder management capabilities to effectively guide projects from inception to completion.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Project Leadership & Execution:** Direct and manage the comprehensive project lifecycle, encompassing development through commissioning. Define strategic project objectives, establish realistic timelines, and formulate comprehensive execution plans to guarantee on-time and within-budget project delivery. Supervise engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) processes, upholding stringent quality standards and maximizing operational efficiency. Ensure rigorous compliance with all applicable local regulations, environmental policies, and industry best practices.
2. **Stakeholder & Client Management:** Serve as the primary liaison for clients, investors, and regulatory agencies. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, and subcontractors. Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between internal departments, external partners, and governmental authorities.
3. **Financial & Contractual Oversight:** Manage project budgets, cash flows, and overall financial performance with meticulous attention to detail. Implement robust contract management practices and proactive risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate closely with finance teams to optimize project funding and enhance cost-effectiveness.
4. **Team & Resource Management:** Develop and lead high-performing project teams, comprising technical, commercial, and operational personnel. Cultivate a work environment that prioritizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Ensure adequate resource allocation and promote competency development to support effective project execution.
**Key Qualifications & Experience:**
* **Education:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a closely related discipline.
* **Experience:** A minimum of fifteen (15) years of professional experience in Renewable Energy (Wind & Solar) project development and execution. A demonstrable track record of successfully leading large-scale projects (500MW+), preferably within the GCC region. Extensive experience in EPC project execution, contract administration, and regulatory compliance is essential.
* **Skills:** Expertise in project planning, financial management, and risk mitigation. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Comprehensive understanding of GCC energy regulations, permitting procedures, and grid connection requirements. Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and consistently deliver results within demanding deadlines.
