Job Description
Overview of the role:
This position will manage and lead a team of technical people in allocating workload and managing the day to day operations to drive workshop performance. It requires to co-ordinate with different departments and distributor team ensure Fix It Right process is followed and vehicles are delivered on time in excellent condition.
What you will do:
1) Operational performance
- To maximize the sold hors from Aftersales operation to meet the revenue performance objectives through target setting
2) Fix It Right:
- Adherence to FIR program as per Distributor Guidelines & Create a Culture to follow FIR process
- Identify and management of FIR concerns, and set actions to close GAP on set KPI’s
- Submission of branch Field Technical reports as set by Distributors and follow Technical bulletin and service bulletin
3) Workshop Management
- Attendance
- Ensure and management of attendance of all associates.
- Planning & scheduling and Time clocking
- Plan, Review, Manage and Implement utilization, productivity and efficiency of Technician & wash bay as per Standard Operating Procedure.
- Quality Control
- Review and manage quality control and action deviation to ensure reoccurrence through training and coaching.
- On-time delivery of vehicles as per promised delivery time.
4) People Management
- On the Job coaching and identify training needs.
- Conduct performance management review, Individual Development plan and disciplinary action where required
- Promote associate engagement and conduct impact planning session.
- Recruitment as per capacity model.
5) Vehicle Warranty Repair Management
- Adherence to warranty process, rules and regulations as stipulated to the Principal.
6) Workshop Inventory
- Tools and Equipment’
- All tools and equipment’s availability/maintenance
- Ensure all technicians tools and equipment comply as per distributor tool list.
- Review current and assets and recommend replacement and additional equipment and maintenance, Callibration.
- Manage asset disposal.
- Lubricant and Consumables Stock
- Consumables and wash bay product management
- Monthly Oil and consumable inventory audit.
7) Projects
- Small Group Activity
- Manage, monitor and promote small group activity and kaizen effort in line with ASM support.
- Special Projects
- Support the implementation of special projects to enhance customer experience, such as transformation and Electronic Vehicle Health Check
8) Risk Management
- HSSE & 4’S
- HSSE & 4’S (Siting, Sorting, Sweeping and Spick & Span)
- Compliance and reporting to HSE and 4’s activities
- Manage environmental compliance and ensure proper scrap and waste management
- Process Compliance
- Implementation and adherence to all SOP’s, memorandums and commination as issued by Head Office or Principal
Skills
Required Skills to be successful:
Automotive dealer/distributor business processes, working knowledge of MS office, ERP skills, KPI driven, customer focused, the operation focused, ability to lead to change, provide leadership and inventory management skills.
