Job Description
1 Principal accountabilities:
- Assisting with defining wireless standards.
- Design, plan, deploy, and improve wireless networks.
- Gather customer requirements for wireless networks and architect solutions that address those requirements.
- Utilize tools to evaluate, test and monitor wireless infrastructure.
- Create documentation.
- Operational support of the wireless network.
- Follow the defined change management process.
- Help build and maintain a word-class wireless network capable of carrying reliable voice, video and data.
Skills
2 Experience and qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of WLAN security and network management.
- Experience designing and deploying key WLAN applications including Secure Mobility, Voice over WLAN, Location, 802.1x authentication.
- Experience deploying Wireless Guest Access with a captive portal and consideration of security controls and network separation recommendations included in the solution.
- Expert level Inter-networking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
- Strong technical account management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 3+ years of experience providing wireless networking engineering and support in an enterprise environment
