Job Description:**Vice President of Human Resources & M&A: Key Responsibilities and Qualifications**

This role entails leadership in the global execution of Reductions in Force (RIFs) and Human Resources transitions related to Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) across multiple jurisdictions, including the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, and India. The incumbent will be responsible for the development and maintenance of project timelines, the tracking of dependencies, and the coordination of relevant stakeholders.

A critical component of this position involves the translation of legal guidance into clear and concise employee communications and documentation. The individual will also oversee offboarding logistics, ensuring accuracy and compliance with respect to final pay, access, benefits, and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with Legal counsel on complex cases is expected, as is the proactive development of legal acumen.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy. The role is focused on practical execution and does not involve extensive engagement with theoretical human resources concepts or cultural initiatives. Success in this position requires proactive cross-functional coordination and the ability to independently resolve issues, demonstrating initiative rather than relying solely on legal guidance. The candidate must possess the ability to maintain composure and execute tasks efficiently under pressure.

**Essential Requirements:**

* Proven ability to deliver flawless, compliant, and high-volume offboarding processes and M&A HR transitions, adhering to deadlines, navigating international complexities, and mitigating legal risks.
* Demonstrated expertise in written communication, specifically the ability to translate legal concepts into actionable HR procedures.
* Extensive experience in cross-functional coordination with teams such as HRIS, Payroll, Legal, and IT.
* SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent professional certification.

**Desirable Qualifications:**

* GPHR, CIPD Level 7, or other relevant global HR certification is strongly preferred.
* Experience in a private equity or high-velocity M&A environment is highly advantageous.

**Compensation and Contractual Details**

This is a full-time, long-term position (40 hours per week). The engagement will be structured as an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as the Contractor of Record. Compensation is set at $100 USD per hour, resulting in an annual remuneration of $200,000 USD (assuming 40 hours per week for 50 weeks per year). Payment will be issued on a weekly basis. Skills:

Basic Requirements

8–12 years of HR experience, with 2+ years in a Director or VP role
Proven track record leading both RIFs and post-M&A HR transitions
Familiarity with employment law and offboarding in at least two jurisdictions (US, EU, UK, India, etc.)
