Job Description:**Responsibilities:**

The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to design, implement, and support advanced communication systems. Key responsibilities include: responding to help desk inquiries via phone and email from end-users and system administrators concerning the operation of Asterisk and FreePBX servers and software; conducting initial diagnostic evaluations, addressing technical issues, and providing end-user training and guidance; troubleshooting telephony features and application-related problems; resolving issues within the defined scope of the service offering; guiding end-users on procedures and policies related to endpoint and server administration and security; escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate team for resolution; diligently tracking ticket status, providing updates, and escalating as necessary to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and client expectations; delivering timely and accurate service updates regarding incident and change requests; participating in a 24×7 on-call rotation with colleagues; contributing to technical projects by collaborating with staff and vendors to gather requirements, define project scope, determine solutions, develop project plans, and implement those solutions; leading VoIP projects from inception to completion; developing design specification plans based on customer requirements and providing appropriate enterprise architectural solutions; designing and deploying omni-channel contact center solutions; integrating communication platforms with CRM systems and other enterprise applications; and implementing and optimizing Linux-based VoIP solutions (Redhat/Ubuntu/CentOS).

Skills:

  • 3+ years as a Linux Systems Administrator
  • MUST have experience with Asterisk and/or FreePBX
  • Should Have experience with Apache, CentOS, DNS, hosted services, MySQL
  • Background in IT or in a Data Center environment
  • System Monitoring and Automation
  • Good knowledge of network design – Working with Firewalls, DNS, Load Balancers
  • Advanced systems troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of principles of voice and data communications
  • General telephony understanding
  • Understanding of VOIP platforms like Trixbox, Elastix, Freeswitch or FusionPBX
  • Configuring various VOIP Phones and iOS/Android Smart Phones
  • Knowledgeable in IP Telephony, unified communications, data networking, telecommunications, video technologies and Call Center
  • Experience working with TCP/UDP, SIP, RTP/RTCP or other multimedia network protocols
  • Aware Of Yeastar & Grandstream PBX and gateways.
