Job Description:Assuming the role of a Fire Protection Engineer, the following duties are performed:
**Responsible for the preparation, review, and management of technical documentation pertaining to fire suppression and detection systems, encompassing drawings, plans, and specifications. This includes active coordination with project management personnel, site engineers, and clients to guarantee adherence to stipulated project requirements. Further responsibilities involve the generation of material take-offs, bills of quantities (BOQs), and technical submittals for current projects, as well as assisting in the development and submission of shop drawings and as-built documentation. Critical analysis of supplier and subcontractor proposals is conducted to ensure technical soundness. Compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and client-specified criteria is paramount. The incumbent will also provide technical support to the procurement process through input and review of material submittals. Project progress is meticulously monitored, and regular updates are disseminated to the project team. Participation in value engineering exercises and cost optimization strategies is required. Finally, the position entails assisting in the resolution of technical challenges and responding to site inquiries throughout the project lifecycle.**
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a technical office engineering role, preferably in fire fighting or fire alarm systems.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical documentation, and project specifications.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NFPA, BS, EN, etc.).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an office-based, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
